My friend Christina and I met up in Seattle last weekend to attend TypeCon. My favorite session was the keynote speech by Lance Wyman, designer of the DC Metro map! In our downtime we got to visit some famous (and some not-so-famous) Seattle landmarks.
I booked a late flight back to Utah so I’d have extra time on Sunday to explore. I rode the Monorail over to the EMP Museum, a fantastic way to spend the afternoon. The building was designed by Frank Gehry and is just a cool space to be in. Lots of weird wall shapes and fun building materials.
And yes, we went to Pike Place Market, too!
Nice! I will going to ask if you guys wanted to meet in Seattle in late March/early April. We’ll probably spend about a week there before ending with the Cayuse Winery party near Walla Walla. Let us know if that sounds of interest!
